Please provide a list of free blog providers or free blog systems
(i.e. install on my own server) which support posting to categories. I
know movabletype does this. Are there any others?

P.S. I'd love to find a blog system with multiple categories... for
instance: City and Rating fields. ANyway, it's not a dealbreaker.

Hi there,

I have found some free blogging systems that include a category
feature, plus I've mentioned some better known systems that do not.

Both in German. They are based on Antville.org which is quite
wonderful (and in English) but unfortunately is no longer accepting
new users.

I found one more free web-based weblog with categories:

20six
http://www.20six.co.uk/

NB: They say:

"At this point in time all of 20six's services are free. But it won't
always be. It hasn't yet been decided when and which services will
require a fee, or how much will be charged. At the moment we're
concentrating on introducing as many people as possible to the world
of blogging."
