Looking for information on recording artist known as Joyce. Had a
release entitled "Joyce", LTD Records #4013, 1983. See it at
www.io.com/~dork/records/pages2/NiceAJoyce.html . What is Joyce's last
name and what is the story of her career?

Request for Question Clarification by tutuzdad-ga on 24 Dec 2003 20:07 PST
I wasn't able to find out what her last name is or even what her
"story" is but I do know what kind of music in on the album and where
(city & state) "Joyce" was supposed to have originated from at the
time the album was recorded.

Dear lithoman-ga;

Thank you for allowing me an opportunity to answer your interesting question.

It isn?t much to go on but since you are interested in the information
as an answer here goes:

I contacted the Webmaster of BizarreRecords.com (aka, The Dork Pages)
and posed your question to him. He told me that the album you are
speaking of is the most inquired about piece in his collection and it
is also one of the least familiar. He said that his only information
about ?Joyce? is that she recorded gospel music and that she hailed
from Sealy, Texas at the time the album was made. Sealy, Texas,
population 5,248, is located about 50 miles west of Houston on I-10.
Being a small town perhaps she was a bit of a local celebrity for a
time and maybe someone there still remembers her.

I hope this helps.

I hope you find that my research exceeds your expectations. If you
have any questions about my research please post a clarification
request prior to rating the answer. Otherwise I welcome your rating
and your final comments and I look forward to working with you again
in the near future. Thank you for bringing your question to us.

Best regards;
