you can usually tell by the elasticity (low elasticity is best), thickness (thicker the better)and ability to return back to the origional shape, however kevlar padding is an absolute must |

1. Fit. It's got to fit. Loose leathers will slide around leaving areas of flesh exposed and vulnerable and be more likely to catch and rip when you're sliding along the tarmac. 2. Seams. Every seam is a vulnerable point. Owain |
