There was an article in the paper by Particia Anstett (Knight Ridder
Newspapers) about Dr. Muwaffak Abdulhak of Detroit's Henry Ford
Hospital and a new spinal surgery to correct low back pain. The
article mentions that it is useful for a person with pain that occurs
with activity and exercise. I am very active and have several disc
problems that I control with Yoga, Physical Therapy and exercise, but
the nerve impingement in my leg is resulting in some atrophy and
related muscle cramps. How do I find out more and find a place to be
evaluated.

you definitely need to see a Neruo Surgeon. Dr. Sumeer Sathi is very
good in Long Island, New York. My fiancee is getting a spinal fusion
with him at the end of October and he is guaranteed to get better -
90% chance.
