Hello -

This answer is not finished until you're satisfied with it. If you
choose to rate this answer, please ask for any necessary clarification
or information you may require beforehand. Thanks for your
understanding.

For this answer, I consulted with my father, who happens to be a
manager of a humanitarian aid organization. His recommended
skillset/attributes are as follows:

1. Compassionate heart and love for the job
This will be the driving force behind his work. A philanthropic
personality and heart is essential. From this compassion will flow
his passion for the job. Must be a visionary for the cause -- someone
who can see the big picture.

2. Relational skills
Must be able to work well with many different types of people,
personalities, and organizations. Depending on how large the
organization is and what their focus is, the manager may be dealing
with people in the business world as well as in the religious world.

3. Organizational skills
Must be able to organize himself as well as his and other's time.
Delegational and managerial abilities will be important.

4. Communication skills
Since he'll be talking with many different types of people from
various backgrounds, an ability to relate well is imperative. A
business and/or administrative background is very helpful.

5. Networking skills
He needs to be able to pull things and people together for creating
the final picture.

biggles0000-ga -

Thanks for your question. "Managerial" is simply the adjective form
of "manager." I'm referring to those things that a typical manager
(of, for instance, a retail store) would do, such as oversee a staff
of people who would be reporting to him. He would need to be able to
organize himself such that he can respond appropriately to the needs
of his employees and the organization itself.

Please let me know if you have any further questions.
