andyco-ga:

Have you already gone through all of the ATKIS material available
through the Denon USA website at:

http://www.usa.denon.com/aktis/downloads.asp

Reading through the RC-8000's user manual and the preset codes list,
it would appear that the default AVAMP setting should work with any
current Denon A/V Amplifier, including therefore the AVR-4800 that you
have.

Please review this information if you haven't already. If it does not
help with your problem, please let me know and I will see if I can
find additional information to help you. If it does help, again please
let me know so that I can post it as the answer to your question.

Thank you,
