This Christmas I cracked 2 of the 3 pyrex dishes used in the Hawkins
'Petite' food warmer (catelogue number JGH 4095), which also has room
for warming plates below. This food warmer has been in the family for
years and I would like help in identifying where I may order
replacement pyrex dishes (23.5cm x 13.4cm x 7.2cm approx). If the
company does not exist anymore, I would really appreciate hearing
about any companies that may currently sell replacements.
Thank you,
John Cracker,
Sunninghill, UK

johncracker-ga:

The Hawkins Cooker company does not maintain a web presence of their
own. The company itself is based in India, so contacting them for
replacement parts will be difficult. However, I have found some Pyrex
bakeware that is close to the dimensions of the original containers,
and therefore may meet your needs.

While the dimensions are smaller than your original containers, there
is a chance that these will work for you. Please take a look at the
images at the above links to see if this is the case. If so, it should
be possible to find a retailer in the UK who carries this model (or
one similar to it), as it is a "standard" loaf dish size.

Dishes are rectangular and have stainless steel lids to fit, which
make the size important. Dimensions of the rectangular holes in which
the dishes fit are a MAXIMUM of 22.40cm (approx 8 3/4 inches) by
12.4cm (approx 4 7/8 inches) so outside measurements need to be
slightly less [the depth must be no more than 3 inches]. The dishes
have rims, which help stop the dishes falling through their 'holes'. I
appreciate your help so far. John

Hi johncracker,

I do believe the Hawkins Company no longer exists. I have found three
other food warmers, that sound to me, like what you describe. No
measurements are stated for the Pyrex dishes. Are any of these
similar? Are the Pyrex dishes rectangular with a lid?

I found these stores in the UK that carry Pyrex, but each item is not listed.

Other carriers of Pyrex

HomeCook carries pyrexware, but items are not listed. Phone : 01270 812969

I'll keep searching, but perhaps a researcher in the UK will know better!
Good Luck!
