When I go and get my hair done, they use a Gizmo on me. It is
something that they roll my hair on and then they remove it (and there
is a click when removed) and then clip the hair in a roll. This
allows them to set my hair without curlers. I asked them about this
item and I was told that they got it years ago and it was so old, they
didn't think it was made anymore but they got it from a company:
Fashion Tress. Do you have "ANYTHING" like this where I could set my
hair without curlers? It wouldn't have to be a Gizmo but could be a
knock off.

cyberbrenda,
I think I may have found what you are looking for, but I'm not sure.
Was the "Gizmo" left in the hair till the hair is dry? Were there
several "Gizmos" used at the same time? Or am I off track, and the
"Gizmo" is electric? Anything more you can tell me will help!

Thanks, crabcakes-ga

My husband got me a round "dowle" but when I would use it, I would
have to back up the roll to remove it and it left the curl loose and
sometimes not round. After the setting, my whole head was set without
curlers in it and I could then dry it or leave it overnight to dry. I
did not have the uncomfortable feeling of curlers in my hair when I
slept and when I dried it, it would take less time to dry.

Here's a clever device that enables you to curl your hair without curlers:

Sorry but your response was not correct. It was a wand like a round
stick. You would roll your hair around it and then remove it and pin
your hair. When you were done, all your hair was "rolled" up but
there weren't any curlers in it.
I wish you had been right. Thanks anyway and God Bless.

When I went to the site you offered, I could not see the item clearly
and I did not get any kind of description on this item. If this item
is one where I can set my hair when it is wet and not have the curlers
in my hair then maybe you are on the right track. I would have to see
this item more closely and find out about it.

Hi cyberbrenda, I can find no better picture. Here is a description of
the curlers. However, these curlers look like they stay in place till
the hair is dry.

"Wrap Snap and Go rollers are soft rollers designed to provide maximum
lift from the roots creating more volume for your style. They are
great for sleeping, no pins are required, and they are a "snap" to use
(no pun intended)! Just roll each section of your hair around the
roller and then simply join the two ends and snap the roller closed!
You can create both traditional and spiral curls. Unique leopard
print. Great for kids also. Very durable, and machine washable. 12
rollers per package. Includes a 16-page "Secrets to Beautiful Curls"
instructional booklet. Comes in a very nice vinyl case, great for gift
giving." $18.00

That sounds good, but when I can roll my hair without curlers, the
hair drys faster, so I am sorry but these curlers are not what I was
looking for. Thanks anyway! I pray your Holidays are the best but it
seems like me, you are spending all your time on the computer. Enjoy
the Holidays! God Bless.
