My business uses MeetingMaker but I'm sick of gunking up my Palm with
MeetingMaker appointments - I've suffered thru the creation of new
accounts because MeetingMaker made infinite duplicates of some
meetings. So, since I can't be free of MeetingMaker, I'd like to know
if there is a way to transform MeetingMaker calendar data to Date Book
Archive (.dba) format compatible with Palm Desktop, perhaps using a
third calendar program as an intermediary? It doesn't need to be an
automated solution. I also do not need help with the other information
types, ie address book.

Is the Microsoft Outlook client an option for you? It appears that the
new Intellisync for MeetingMaker ver.1.0 supports synchronizing
MeetingMaker with Outlook. Unfortunately, this would also require that
you switch from using Palm Desktop to using Outlook as your PC
interface. However, this would make it a little less painful if
MeetingMaker decides to go haywire again, at least you'll catch it in
Outlook before it hits your Palm.

We use Eudora as an email client & I think the administrator has
disabled Outlook Express...

The software I'm referring to is Microsoft Outlook, their full-fledged
personal information management software, not Outlook Express, their
basic e-mail program. Microsoft Outlook normally comes with Microsoft
Office packages. Do you have Microsoft Office installed on your PC at
work? Outlook contains a calendar capability that is similar to both
MeetingMaker and the Palm Desktop.

More importantly, there are several synchronization options available
for Outlook, including a synchronization conduit for MeetingMaker.
Please check with your administrator to see if MS Outlook (not Outlook
Express) is available to you.

That's too bad, then. If I come across any other options, I'll let you
know. The obstacle is that MeetingMaker appears to be a relatively
proprietary system (like most calendaring systems), so there has to be
a desire on the part of the software developer to work with conduit
developers like PumaTech (the Intellisync folks) before a connector
can be made.
