I have always been fascinated with the concept of the
mentor/protoge...learn from the "masters"... relationship to faciliate
the education & development of an individual in whatever field they
want to study be it the arts, business, sports, etc. I read somewhere
(was it Tony Robbins?) that he interviewed people who had already
achieved what he wanted to achieve and sought out their wisdom to
learn life's lessons from them. I believe that if I surround myself
with other people who have mastered areas that I too want to master,
their energy stimulates & motivates me in a positive way to do so.
That being said, I am looking for quotations, modern and historical,
that support & promote this concept.

delighted to help you. I actually had a fully prepared answer for you
and was about to post it when your question expired.
