i manage a cattle station named doongmabulla and would like to know
the meaning of the word doongmabulla. it is believed to be an
aboriginal word.

It's the name of plants in the genera Dissocarpus and Gomphrena.

Sorry, I don't know how it translates (yet), but it may not have a
translation at all.  Maybe ask a local?
