I need to find a newspaper article and/or information regarding a
traffic accident that took place in December, 2003 in South Carolina. 
The driver's name was Phil Herzog and one of the passengers was Judy
Herzog. This may have occurred near Awendaw, S.C.  Phil Herzog works
with GuideDogs for the blind.

I tried to find the article in the Charleston newspaer but it would
not allow me to access any articles.

Have you tried contacting the law-enforcement agency that would have
taken care of the incident (state police, county sheriff, etc.)? They
should have the necessary information.

If the accident was not fatal, it's doubtful the newspapers would have reported it.

Two helicopters transported the injured to a hospital.  That should
make it newsworthy.
