Greetings, Colorado Fisherman!

I took a look at your site and then searched for it on Google, and I
gathered that you were referring to the fact that Google still carried
an old description of your site, and that certain words on the current
version of your site have not yet been indexed by the Googlebot.

First, I searched for
colorado fishing articles site:coloradofisherman.com
and I got the following description from Google:
-------------------------------------------------------
ColoradoFisherman.com: Colorado Fishing
Includes Colorado fishing reports, articles, records, species, photos,
lake and river info, and much more! ... Colorado Fishing Articles. ...
www.coloradofisherman.com/ - 11k - Cached - Similar pages
-------------------------------------------------------
://www.google.com/search?q=colorado+fishing+articles+site:coloradofisherman.com&num=100

Then, I tried searching for a couple of key phrases from your main
page, but Google did *not* return your site in the Search Results:
-------------------------------------------------------
No standard web pages containing all your search terms were found.

Your search - "colorado fishing articles" "Elevenmile Ice Fishing" -
did not match any documents.
-------------------------------------------------------
"colorado fishing articles" "Elevenmile Ice Fishing"

I've noticed that sometimes Google seems to have forgotten to refresh
a site; often, this can happen because the site is temporarily down
when the Googlebot visits, and it figures that the site no longer
exists. In such cases, I've found that it helps to just submit the URL
to be crawled again by the Googlebot at:

So, I submitted your site for crawling at the URL above, and when I
checked again today, I discovered that Google is now carrying a
current description of your site, and searching for those two key
phrases now brings it up in the Search Results. This appears to have
fixed your problem, at least for the moment; the new description
reads:
-------------------------------------------------------
Colorado's Fishing Headquarters! ColoradoFisherman.com
... Colorado Fishing Articles Colorado fishing articles from a variety
of sources (ColoradoFisherman.com, ESPN Outdoors, Colorado Fishing &
Hunting News, Denver ...
www.coloradofisherman.com/ - 12k - Cached - Similar pages
-------------------------------------------------------
://www.google.com/search?q=colorado+fishing+articles+site:coloradofisherman.com&num=100

I recommend that you follow the same procedures every time you make
changes to your site; this should help to remind the Googlebot to
re-crawl the site and update its cached version of your website.

It seems like the googlebot only indexes the first few words of my
homepage. I see that the bot refreshed my homepage recently, but it
doesn't ever seem to go any deeper than the top of the page. I have
been trying to get a decent ranking for over 6 months now, I have been
listed the whole time. One thing that is really strange to me is that
I have had about 20 highly relevant inbound links for several months
that Google doesn't seem to pick up on. I have heard that link
popularity is a big part of Pagerank, why isn't Google picking up
these links? When I search using the term colorado fishing I find all
kinds of poor excuses for websites, there are very few quality sites
in the top search results. I thought Google was all about providing
high quality search results to the end user, it seems to me they have
really overlooked this section of their search. They have had
multiple sites ranking on the first page for months that aren't even
up anymore. Try that search and you will see what I mean. Do you
have any ideas on how to get the folks at Google to clean up this area
of their search? Thanks so much for your help!
