goes. only to compaq's home page. I want to know how to change this?

Please go to the following Compaq webpage:

https://www29.compaq.com/mypresario/internetkeyboard/ik3/nbinternet2.asp

Select the "Instant Internet" icon (the 'i' in the green circle) to go
to a form where you can enter the new URL for your 'Instant Internet'
start page.

The 'Instant Internet' function uses a cookie on your PC to record the
URL for your 'Instant Internet' start page. The above Compaq webpage
allows you to reset this cookie to a URL of your choice.

Please let me know if this works for you, so that I can post it as the
Answer. If it does not work, please also let me know, along with the
exact model of your Compaq Presario computer.
