How would you translate this sentence? It is about Gustav Gull
(Zürcher architect 1858-1942):
"Innerhalb der an geometrischen Ordnungssystemen ausgerichteten
Grundrisse entwickelte er räumlich ausschweifende Schittlösungen und
Treppenanlagen als öffentliche Räume."

Dear leander,

Here is the translation of that sentence:

"Within the ground plans, which are aligned with geometric systems of
order, he developed spacially excessive section concepts and stairs
arrangements as public spaces."

Please note: The expression "Schittlösungen" does not exist in German;
however, in architectural context there is the term "Schnittlösung"
(plural: Schnittlösungen), which means literally "section solution".
It describes an architectural concept for a structure from section
perspective. I assume that this is what is actually meant here, so I
decided to translate it as "section concepts".

Hope this answers your question!
