I have a lithograph I believe that shows 5 or 6 young ladies in a
field. On the back is stamped Kivitelre Engedelyezve MNG and the
artist's name has the initials R and L but is otherwise
undecipherable. Can you tell me who the artist is and the year, or
any other information about this work?

Dear erichh,

I am sorry to say that it is rather unlikely to ever find out the name
of the artist or anything else about this litograph. The words
"Kivitelre Engedelyezve" are Hungarian, and they mean only that an
export permit for that work of art had been granted.

Nevertheless I hope that my colleagues are more successful than I.
Regards,
Scriptor

I do not know much about art but this looks like 20th cent. to me. The
girls are naked and cavorting in a field with dark trees in the
background. It is all in black with a green watercolor wash in some
areas. They all have shortish black hair and the work is
impressionistic, I would say. The signature is in pencil below the
25cm X 12cm print surface. The first name starts with R and is short,
maybe Rehi, but with 2 marks above the name, one possibly the dot over
the i, and the other an accent mark in the middle. The last name
appears to start with L, roughly Lo( or i or e)heim(or so), with
another mark above the last few letters, more like an accent mark than
a dot. The subject matter makes it look older to me, and another web
site had the K. V. place as a publisher. Hope this helps, Erichh

Hi,

some more facts about the lithograph could be helpful. Can you tell
anything about the style, the time or period, you suppose that it was
created (19th century, later or even before?)?
Anyway, a nice link to search for signatures of artists:

Good luck by finding the artist,
