This isn't a request per se.  I'd found the French Amazon, but didn't
know what a euro was worth, thought they only had possible used
copies, and wasn't certain I could even order.  But, I took your
advice, brushed up on how to navigate the site then clicked the odd
but familiar buttons, and I THINK I've ordered the book.  :-)  If it
actually arrives I will be thrilled.  And, if it arrives before my
question expires on Google, I'll be delighted to rate you highly and
sing your praises!  Thanks for your help and suggestions.  I've got my
fingers crossed.

For future reference, a good site for currency conversion is Yahoo Finance:

I've had good luck ordering books and CDs from the various European
branches of Amazon. Hopefully, you'll have a similar experience.

If for whatever reason Amazon doesn't come through for you, let me
know via this "request clarification" feature.  You can use this even
after 30 days have passed. There's no expiration/time limit on this
feature.
