There are some crooks on ebay, that's for sure, but crooks are everywhere. Me? I am not a BIG ebay user but all the deals I've done (all as a buyer) have been from excellent to OK. I haven't experienced any crooks but, on the two occasions where I've been suspicious, I've asked the sellers if they would do escrow - with me paying the costs. Each time, I got no response, so I didn't bid. There are mechanisms (which are not perfect) to help buyers and sellers suss each other out before finalising a deal. |
