Hi Mo

Do you think the stock is that of
Alphanumberic Systems, Inc.?
http://www.alphanumeric.com/

According to Hoovers, it's a privately held company
http://www.hoovers.com/alphanumeric-systems/--ID__126729--/free-co-factsheet.xhtml

So, if the stock is not publicly traded, you will need to contact
them directly to get the current value of your shares.

You can reach the company here:
http://www.alphanumeric.com/home_page/contact.htm

Looking at the bios, the company wasn't founded until 1979.
Was your stock certificate from 1979, perhaps?

Best wishes

Call the investor relations office at the company and ask the current value.
Find out what "Exchange" the stock is trading on then monitor it
yourself via internet. If you cannot locate the company then contact
the Secretary of State in the state you think the company is in. You
may even run a search for a company via a States website (many of
them). You can always contact the SEC (Securities Exchange
Commission) www.sec.gov for assistance if all these fail. Of course
if www.alphanumeric.com is the site of the stock in question your half
way home.
