Hello - I am loooking for a hat. Basically I am looking for a company
that makes baseball style hats, but with a few minor conditions:
1) There cannot be any kind of retail store names on it. I don't want
a hat that says Abercrombie and Fitch all over it, or Reebok, gap, or
any other type of "well-known" company.
2) It must be a well put together hat, not one of those cheap vacation
souvenir hats.
3) Nothing to do with sports.
4) The back cannot have a metal clasp, but should preferrably have the
standard plastic notch fitting - although velcro would also be okay.
Some examples of hats that I have owned are: If you do some research
there is a company called Hyp who can be found at hyphats.com. They
used to make really cool hats with just their logo on the back and
then some kind of crazy irrelevant design on the front, like one that
I owned just had a red circle with the letters R&R inside. My most
recent hat was a Structure hat that I purchased during Structures last
week before they switched to Express For Men. (This is okay with rule
#1 since they no longer exist and no one else could get this hat.)
Basically to clear up any confusion, I am looking for a unique
baseball style hat that isnt advertising something trendy or popular.
I am looking for a company such as Hyp before they sold out, where I
can buy hats that meet these qualifications. Thank you. |

Thank you for your response! In response to your request: I like the
"look" of a few of these hats that you sent me, as far as how they are
put together. Specifically the one that matches the style the most
would probably be NWTF09A, or maybe HF-111. But as for what is
actaully on the hat, I am not looking to design my own. But
sports/fishing/hunting is not really what i am looking for either.
I guess this is harder to explain than I thought, but for example the
Hyp hat that i used to own with the simple R&R on it. I liked that
hat, because no one really knew what R&R meant, or what it was talking
about. Or a long time ago I owned a Stussy hat (before Stussy was
known by anyone) and it basically was khaki greenish color and had a
picture of a cool looking doll on it. So basically a hat from a
company that is not too trendy/popular with something silly and
ubscure on the front of it - in the style that basically looks like
NWTF09A. Hope that helps!

Hi mcvetyty-ga,
I think I hear what you are saying about your preferences. Are any of
these on the right track? These are all unique ? not your
run-of-the-mill mall stuff. I certainly don?t think any of these would
be easily recognizable by most people. All of the hats I selected are
well-made. No cheap foam and plastic.

Yes, this is very close to what I am looking for. I would have to
say that the first link you provided (wisdom wear) is actaully most
like what I am looking for out of all of the links, however the Kangol
hats are very close as well. If you could perhaps find more choices, I
believe we will be right on. I am curious however, to know what is
written on the backside of the Wisdom Wear hats.
But like I said we are very close with these new links. Once again, my
preference in hats is just unique obscure things written on the front
of a well put together hat. Ideally there would be a company on there
that JUST made hats, but then put some kind of obscure thing on the
front of them.
