Chandra Levy's mother read a poem that was written by an unkown poet.
I have the text of that poem and I am continuing the search to see if
the poet was found and if that is indeed the poem you are looking for.

The poem was sent to the mother and the mother admits:(the poem
tar_heal is refering to is stated as one of the poems taped to the
mothers kitchen cabinets)

Mrs. Levy: ?Actually, they just send and they don?t even put our
address down. They just
know to send without the ZIP code.?

There are words of support and love, tips and theories about where
Chandra might be.
One man even wrote to say he?s composing a musical score about
her. And there are lots
of poems ? two of Mrs. Levy?s favorites are taped to her kitchen cabinets.

Stone Phillips: ??What has our angel Chandra to do, you know we?ll
not stop until we find
you, your beauty cannot fade from the lives of us all. We?ll
follow every lead no matter
    how small.?? (excerp of poem)

Like tar_heel states the text of the poem can be found on the
internet, but the author seems to be unknown or anonymous.

There is an article written about Chandra Levy that was nominated for
a Pulitzer Prize in 2002:
