| I am In the market for a direct view HDTV I already have the perfect tv in mind except it does not have RBG input for my laptop, that tv is the Sony KV-32HV600. I have read a little about RGB to Componet video converters that might work but not very well. If you can find me a tv that suites all these needs or a good way to see the laptop on the tv Sony KV-32HV600 that will work for me. One last thing if there is a technogly or feature that I would regret not having let know if you can. Thanks ease99 | |

| ease99 -- In case you are unaware of it, there are direct-view (i.e., CRT) HDTV sets on the market that have a 16:9 aspect ratio display. The last time I checked, they come with screen sizes of up to 34" diagonal, so they are fine for use in a small room. They cost much less than comparable LCD and (especially) plasma models, and I think that they have a sharper picture than either of those alternatives. Their downsides are their limited screen size and their bulk (although the 34" Toshiba I have is really not much bulkier that the 27" Sony it replaced). markj-ga |

| The only reason I am not ready to move to 16:9 is that most programing about (95 percent) for many years will continue to be 4:3 I don't like the bars on each side of the screen nor do I like the streched mode that make people look bloated. Thanks for the comment. Ease99 |
