Hi keithb,

The queen you are looking for is Queen Ranavalona, of Madagascar (the
"wicked queen").

"Queen Ranavalona of Madagascar ordered that any of her subjects who
appeared in her dreams had to be executed."
http://www.morticom.com/royaltytriviaqueens.htm

"Queen Ranavalona of Madagascar decreed that if any of her subjects
appeared in her dreams, they would be killed."
http://www.geocities.com/mikey_wbt/well_i_never/people.html

Ranavalona I:
"After becoming Queen, Ranavalona had most of her relatives assassinated."
http://www.nationmaster.com/encyclopedia/Ranavalona-I

Women Political Leaders
Madagascar Queen Ranavalona I 1828?1861
Madagascar Queen Rasoaherina 1863?1868
Madagascar Queen Ranavalona II 1868?1883
Madagascar Queen Ranavalona III (deposed) 1883?1897

Madagascar:
"Immediately after Radama's death in 1828, his widow (Queen
Ranavalona) took the throne. Referred to even to this day as the
wicked queen, Ranavalona forced the missionaries out of Madagascar,
and executed her subjects with a zeal never before seen in this land."

questions, please post a clarification request before closing/rating
