Hello Macnewbie,
Please take a look at what is offered at this website?
http://www.emulators.com/softmac.htm
"If you prefer to purchase a ROM card with physical ROMs, if you
require a Mac OS boot disk and installation CD-ROM, you can order
those items directly from us the Emulators online store."
http://softmac2000.com/
Please let me know via the clarification feature if this is what you had in mind.
Thanks,

operation(does not compare to a apple power pc).If possible I would
like to try a emulator. In general, I like to keep up with college
course. Most of all, I want hands on experience on Flash
MX,photoshop,golive ect.Could remote control be possible?ie operating
a Mac over the net?.Software uses a lot of resouces, could lead to

Running the Mac version of Illustrator under emulation in Windows will
result in extremely poor performance, not only because Illustrator for
Mac is PowerPC-optimized (not x86 or PC-optimized) but all programs
run under emulation in general suffer a significant performance hit.
Furthermore, there are few Mac emulators for Windows. I can assure
you, performance will be so bad that the emulator will be useless.
My recommendation would be to purchase a low-cost Macintosh - an eMac,
perhaps. At US$799 (lower if your college has a computer shop or if
you can get an educational price from Apple), you get:
- a 1 GHz PowerPC G4 processor (fast for PhotoShop, Illustrator, video, etc.)
- 128 MB SDRAM (which you should upgrade to 512 MB for about US$50)
- 40 GB ATA Hard drive (enough space for lots of apps)
- DVD-ROM/CD-RW combo (for burning CDs and reading CD/DVD discs)
- 17" CRT built-in
- ATI Radeon 7500 (fast enough for most graphics programs)
- lots of built-in software
You can also consider purchasing an old Mac from eBay or Apple's
online refurbished store. I was able to find a refurbished eMac for
US$529 on the online Apple Store:
http://store.apple.com/1-800-MY-APPLE/WebObjects/AppleStore/
Search for "refurbished" and the store will give you a list of available products.

I hope this helps.
