Your timing is excellent.
Not that long ago, Google added (yet another) very useful innovation
to its growing list of search options...a site called Google News that
searches recent news stories. With a careful selection of search
terms, you can pull up articles on recently-announced commercial
leases.
First off, the Google News search site is here:

As you can see, the site allows you to "Search and browse 4,500 news
sources updated continuously"...not a bad resource!

"los angeles" (office OR warehouse OR commercial) ("square feet" OR "sq ft") lease
NOTE that the use of quote marks, parentheses, and capitalized OR's is
essential to the success of the search.

Watson Land Company Leases 195000 Square Feet to Price Transfer

Watson Land Company, among the largest developers of master planned
industrial centers in Los Angeles County, has leased 195,014 square
feet to Price Transfer in Watson Industrial Center South. Price, one
of the oldest and most respected logistics/distribution firms in the
South Bay, signed a five-year lease valued at $4.2 million.

Not every story will hit the nail on the head. For instance there's this one:
CarrAmerica Signs 83,000 Square Foot Lease With Fiserv in Norcross, Georgia
Monday January 5
...which showed up because CarrAmerica's operations in Los Angeles are
mentioned in the story, along with the new lease in Georgia.

However, it's pretty easy work to just scan the list and pick out the
stories that are most relevant to your interests.
Of course, the search terms can easily be modified to suit your needs, such as:
"san francisco" (office OR warehouse OR commercial) ("square feet" OR
"sq ft") lease
to conduct the same sort of search for San Francisco, or:
"los angeles" warehouse ("square feet" OR "sq ft") lease
to restrict the search to only warehouse leases, or:
"san francisco chronicle" (office OR warehouse OR commercial) ("square
feet" OR "sq ft") lease
to restrict the search to only articles appearing in the San Francisco Chronicle.
There are obviously many types of variations possible here...if you
need any advice in constructing searches for specific needs, just let
me know by posting a Request for Clarification.

I've saved the best for last.
After you've put together a search that produces good results, you can
have Google News email you every time a new article appears that meets
your search criteria.
I have a number of news searches that I've automated myself, and I
find that Google News generally alerts me about ten minutes after a
press released is first issued...pretty fast response time!
On the left had side of the Google News page, you'll see an item that
says "News Alerts". Click on this (or just click this link below)
and it will take you to:
://www.google.com/newsalerts
where you can enter your search terms, and give Google an email
address to send the alert to. Select your preference for "How often"
(either "once a day" or "as it happens"), and then just click on
"Create News Alert".
It's that simple. Google News will send you a confirmation email with
a link that you must click on in order to activate the alert service.
The whole sign up and activation process takes two or three minutes.
You can sign up for as many alerts as you care to.
I hope you find that the Google News searches are a powerful tool for
getting you fast access to the information you're seeking.

Hello again, Barry.
First off, don't be shy about asking for clarifications of an answer,
or for additional information. That's the way the system works here,
and I'm happy to oblige, as often as necessary, and as best I can.
That said, I'm afraid I don't know of any additional sources of
information you can turn to other that the press reports. As I said
originally, I'm pretty familiar with real estate information sources,
but am not aware of anything that would make leasing info publicly
available outside the real estate press reports.
If you can tell me a bit more about why/how the current press
information from Google News isn't meeting your needs, perhaps it will
spark some ideas about alternatives. If there is a particular type of
business that is of special interest, let me know, as that may also
open up some possibilities.
