YES!!! exactly. I have that picture. Wanting to know if what I have is
an original or a copy. Been in my family for roughly 50 years.
Probably longer as my mother is 66 and it was in her childhood home
for as long as she can rememeber.

Dear mama7times,
Unfortunately, I do not think that there is an easy way to determine
how old your lithograph is. Art experts would closely examine the kind
of paper it is printed on, aging marks, etc., to find out whether it
is an old print or a younger reproduction.
However, I can tell you this about the print:
- "Franz Hanfstaengl" is actually not the artist's name, but the name
of the printshop that held the rights in the image and where the
lithograph was made.
- The artist who made the original artwork was William Strutt.
The printshop does still exist today. I could give you contact
information, so you could ask them whether they have ever produced
reprints of "Peace" or if the have allowed others to reproduce the
print.
Also, I could try to find some more examples of pictures by William Strutt's.
Would that meet your needs?
