Hello could you please find for me a model kit.
The model is Tamiya's M551 sheridan in 1/35 scale. A moterised version
would be prefferd is possible.
I am not fussed by the condition of the kit as lond as all the parts
are included (nothing is missing) & the model has not been started to
be built.
The kit must be of an Tamiya M551 sheridan & of no other maker.

The M551 sheridan was an american light airborne infantry tank & was
the last such made by the american army.

Please keep me informed of all results found.

"The mediocre 1970's vintage plastic miniatures were joined by an
all-resin effort from Team Jaguar. Frankly, there is no comparison
between the Jaguar effort and the early Tamiya and Academy model kits.
Although pricey, I quickly shelved my Tamiya project and turned to the
Jaguar kit. To supplement this effort, I'd also use the Technical
Manual TM 9-2350-230-12 dated June 1986, on the Sheridan."

I hope I've been able to find a suitable kit for you. If you have any
questions or if you need further assistance, please post a
clarification request before closing/rating my answer. I've made
enquiries to all four sellers by email to confirm availability but
given that emailing can take time, I've decided to post my answer
instead of waiting, to give you the opportunity to phone them (start
by mentioning that your friend already emailed today, to help avoid
confusion).

Thank you,
hummer

Hi allynick,

Here is today's update.

Unfortunately, Happy Hobby Shop no longer has the item.

eBay: his email is in French but roughly translated:

The model is 30 years old but all the parts are present and in a bunch.
Postage to the US is 13 Euros (US$16.50) but parcels take a very long
time to pass through customs for parcels from France.

I replied to his email to ask how much Airmail would cost to the US
and if the model is "motorized". I'll let you know when he replies.

That is all for now,
hummer

Hi allynick. I received another reply from the eBay fellow. He said
the price he quoted of 13 euros is for priority post. He did not
answer my question regarding motorized. Would you like me to ask him
again (or ask about anything else) or can you manage some French?
Unfortunately, there have been three bids on it already with almost
five days to go. hummer
