Speak directly to financial aid advisors at more than one college or community college and they may know of sources that the public doesn't know about. Also contact organizations who work with dyslexic people. You also need to visit the many scholarship sites available on the web and do a search specifically for the phrase dyslexia. How much in assistance are you looking for, what college do you plan to attend and what course of study are you going to pursue. Do a GOOGLE search using the search phrase "dyslexia AND scholarship" or "dyslexia and FINANCIAL AID" to see what comes up. Best of luck to you--it's going to be an uphill battle but with determination you can succeed, and it seems like there should be more than a few companies or government agencies who could assist. |
