Dear luv_cathybabe,

The original quotation was made by the Italian historian and statesman
Francesco Guicciardini (1483?1540). In his 1529 book "Ricordi politici
e civili" ("Political and Civil Memories") he wrote in paragraph LVII:

Translation:
"How much luckier than all the rest of mankind are the astrologers! If
they tell one truth among a hundred lies, they obtain so much credit
that even their lies are believed. Whereas those who say between much
more truth one lie lose all credit."
