Hi macnewbie,

This is really easy to do. First, format a new floppy disk. You can
do this by putting a floppy in the drive and clicking on My Computer.
From there, highlight "A Drive" and from the FILE menu and select
FORMAT.

When you're done:

1) Go to Windows control panel. (Start / Settings / Control Panel)
2) Double click on the Add/Remove Programs Icon.
3) Select the Startup Disk Tab.
4) Insert the Floppy disk in the drive, if you removed it.
5) Click Create Disk.
6) Remove disk and Label the disk "WIN98 STARTUP - DATE _________

Alternatively, you may just download the disk from the Internet, here:

Bootdisk.com
http://www.bootdisk.com/bootdisk.htm

Hope this helps. If I can clarify my answer in some way, please ask
via the "Request For Clarification" feature...

macnewbie,

With all due respect, if you are using a computer with Windows98 to
create the disk, and you did not state otherwise, ...and you follow
the instructions as written, it is simply not possible to create
anything EXCEPT the correct startup disk.

Just so you know, Researchers appreciate it very much when clients

Clarification" feature, before rating our answer.

We strive to give the best information possible, had you asked, I
would have explained to you whatever you don't understand.
