Hi dingdong22,

I can find no evidence that the phrases you mention are on a US
passport. They do not appear on MY current or my childhood passport
(from the 50's and 60's).

The ?Inside a US Passport? article found here, on How Stuff Works?
makes no mention of any phrases about ?Army? or ?Strong America?.

Passport History:
http://travel.howstuffworks.com/passport1.htm

Here is a scanned 1928 passport, with no evidence of ?strong America?
or ?American Army? on this one.

So, we can safely say that regular US passports from 1928 and the 50's
and 60's and the late 90's do not have your phrases.

I found no definitive evidence either way, so I am posting this as a
comment! Hope it helps!

My passport, issued in December 2002, does not contain any statement
about a strong America. The closest thing I can find is: "The
Secretary of State of the United States of America hereby requests all
whom it may concern to permit the citizen/national of the United
States named herein to pass without delay or hindrance and in case of
need to give all lawful aid and protection."

My passport was issued March 2003 and like my colleague, justaskscott,
the closest thing found on the passport is identical to the comment he
posted.

rainbow~
