I have a tar file that has over 4 gigabytes of data which consists of
different files.  I need to burn this tar file to a cd drom but since
a cd rom can only hold like 650 mb, I'm looking for a way to split
this tar files into multiple files in chunks of like 600 mbs so as to
burn them to several disks.
