Question ID: 294546
Is there a Mac OS X replacement for Adrenaline Charts Pro? The last
version of this software was 1.5.1 and ran on OS 8.5 and higher. The
company's web site (adrenaline.ca) has disappeared and I can find no
further mention of them on the web. Has anyone purchased their
technology with a plan to re-release it in an updated version?

Unfortunately, Adrenaline Software closed down on October 31, 2001 as
a result of poor market conditions. Here is the last version of their
website, from the Internet Archive's Wayback Machine:

http://web.archive.org/web/20020124082546/http://www.adrenaline.ca/

Their ownership of the 'adrenaline.ca' domain ceased sometime between
Sept. 25th and Nov. 20th, 2002. Unfortunately, that was also the
contact point for the company's business interests.

The president and founder of Adrenaline Software, Martin Bigonesse,
apparently moved on to found CogiNetwork, a Quebec (Canada) based firm
focused on enterprise hardware management for the small and medium
business segment. This company, in turn, was acquired by another
company in 2002.

There does not appear to be any company that acquired the intellectual
property of Adrenaline Software, so therefore the likelihood of a new
or updated version being released is extremely low.

Depending on your graphing or charting needs, the current 'best'
charting package available for OS X is DeltaGraph 5, from Red Rock
Software. 'Best' is an extremely subjective word, in this case based
on their 'Best Of Show' award at last fall's MacWorld CreativePro
Conference & Expo:

This was listed as a "request for clarification," but I'm not sure
why. I believe you have provided a very thorough, very well-written
answer to my question. Thank you!
