Hello, I have several lithographs/limited editions and I am eager to
know if they have any value. 1)Lithograph by Alexander Calder, Flying
Colors "Beastie" commissioned by Braniff Airlines in 1973 - has
embossed seal of airlines on Arches paper, don't know if I have a real
signature or not. 2) Limited editon of "Course de Taureaux" by Pablo
Picasso from his grand daughter Marina's collection, I believe a
seried of 500 produced in the 1980s (?)Bears the seal of the Pablo
Picasso estate and signed by Marina Picasso. 3) Peter Max, a winged
horse poster, customized with a drawing of the head of a young Greek
male in black marker and hand signed dated 1996. 3)Photo print by
Cindy Sherman of herself in the era of the 1950's or 40's very Lucille
Ball portrait.
Thank you for your help.

Dear missypoet -

Thanks for submitting your question to our forum.

Are you interested in estimates of the value of these lithographs - or
just some sites where you may be able to find out what they are worth?

thanks,

I have found a website that has helped me with the value of the
Alexander Calder limited edition. However, I have not been able to
find any information whatsoever on the Salvatore Dali limited edition
SF1/100 "Horse Riders" - I don't if it is an excerpt from a lager
work, or if it is created after an original standalone work of art by
Dali. So any information on this particular piece is extremely,
extremely helpful. I am pretty comfortable with the information I have
discovered about the Calder. In it's place, if you could help find a
possible value for a work by Toulouse Loutrec, called "Equestrian and
Dog" excerpt from a larger work entitled "The Circus", edtion 346/350
- that would be simply fabulous as well! I appreciate your help. Any
answers that can be presented by Monday or Tuesday next week willl be
super as we are having a big birthday party and want to present these
items as gifts. Many thanks, Missypoet.

missypoet - thanks for your clarification. I want to make sure that
the data I can locate, without actually contacting an appraiser, will
be sufficient. So, for example, for Salvador Dali's "The Horseriders"
I have located the following:

http://www.mzp.biz/art/display.php?id=201

Unfortunately the image is missing, but the value is quoted as $700.

Will such data be sufficient?

thanks much,
ragingacademic
