My 4-piece band has been having trouble renting (and keeping) a monthly studio space in the music building on 38th street and 8th Avenue in Manhattan. We've bounced from floor to floor to floor to floor. We visited and priced some spaces in Times Square open for monthly rentals for rehersal and storage but found them to be completely overpriced ($1200 a month and over) We were used to paying between 250 and 400 a month for a monthly studio space. I heard there was another Music Building downtown at 180 Stanton Street but I haven't been able to obtain any contact info about it. Do any other such places exist in NYC? |
