Hello frank001,
Please go to Settings, Setup, Character Set and select "Enable
Character Translation" selecting the language that you want to use.
You should be able to look up what key combinations to press to get
the specific character you want by clicking the specific character, or
hovering over it with your mouse.
Please let me know if you have any problems with these instructions
and I will continue providing assistance. I have emailed some people
for more detailed instructions just in case we are unable to solve
your problem with the above instructions. Please let me know!

On Lindows.com, searched tech support and forums and although I did
not find the exact answer, I was able to write one with the
information available. |

Here are two more suggestions from Lindows.com:
"In the control panel (Peripherals -> Keyboard) you can select
diffrent keyboard layouts (if you select multiple layouts you'll see a
flag on they country that resembles the layout on your taskbar,
pressing it will let you cycle through them).
For example I ve added a Belgian layout since sometimes I need to type :
é è ç à and offcourse the ? Euro sign."
"Are you interested in typing an occasional foreign character here and
there? Then just open the StarOffice or OpenOffice writer, click on
Insert > Special Character, and you will have a whole list of
characters to choose from. Click the character, then click OK, and it
will be inserted into your document.
If you actually need to type whole sentences and paragraphs in a
foreign language, then that requires setting up a foreign language
keyboard in the control panel. I can give you instructions for this,
if that is your need. Keep in mind that you will have to type your
paragraph in the text editor for all the characters to show up using
this method. Or use one of the workarounds in the thread I mentioned."
Please let me know if this helps you!
