Hi Mark2004!

Here are a few candidates:

Anne Martindell - honorary doctor of laws degree at age 87
?Now, at age 87, Ms. Martindell has finally completed her Smith
education: today, with all her children, grandchildren and
great-grandchildren in attendance, she became the oldest person ever
to graduate from the venerable women's college - and the first to get
a B.A. in American studies and an honorary doctor of laws degree on
the same day.?

Joe D'Annunzio Jr. 73, the oldest person ever to graduate from FSU's law school.

Willie I. Kocurek at 70
?Born in Dime Box, Texas, Willie came to Austin in 1929 to study law.
Some 51 years later he achieved that goal at the ripe young age of 70.
What took him so long you might ask.?

I have not been able to find anyone older.

Best regards,

bobbie7,

Just a quick comment here, not meant in any way to detract from your
excellent research. Many universities (including all of my own alma
maters) traditionally use the Doctor of Laws degree as their honorary
degree conferred on deserving "friends of the university"... usually
immediately before/after that person writes a big cheque for a
donation... not that I'm implying any link between the two activities!
:) So, I'd tend to ignore the honorary doctor of laws recipients in
narrowing down mark2004's Answer. Joe D'Annuzio Jr seems like a likely
candidate for this, though!

Cheers,

aht-ga

Here's a note about David Sensenig, a 77-year-old law school graduate:
