I haven't been able to locate any information for the artist "Biokarstatt".
Are you certain of the spelling? 
The closest I could find to the artist you are seeking is Bierstadt. 
If you believe this is the same artist as the one you are requesting,
please let me know and I will post the information I have gathered.

Did you get the name "Biokarstatt" by trying to read the artist's signature?

There are artists whose signed names could easily be mistaken for
Biokarstatt. Are you by any chance looking for a UK artist of
watercolors and oils?

Are you able to upload a scan of the signature to the internet, and
post the URL here? Or can you provide some more details (type of
artwork, when and where obtained, etc)?

I'm drawing a long bow here, but is there any chance you're looking
for Bob Karstadt? Here's an article about him:

Considering this name, letter by letter, I think it must be an unclear
signature of the surname "Bickerstaff" (by which name there are quite
a few artists).
