Hello qdaddy,
There are several sites that provide the service you're looking for,
free of charge. The one I use all the time is:
mail2web
http://mail2web.com/
Just enter your email address and your POP password. This password is
the one you have set up with your email program (Outlook Express, for
exmample) to access your account.
Another nice site is
e-mail Anywhere
http://www.e-mailanywhere.com/
It works just the same as mail2web. If you want a full list of
providers of this service, you may want to try the Google Directory
Computers > Internet > E-mail > Web-Based > POP3 Access
http://directory.google.com/Top/Computers/Internet/E-mail/Web-Based/POP3_Access/
but with any of the ones I've mentioned, I think you'll have enough.
Also, although I haven't tried it, I know you can also access your POP
mail account from a Hotmail or a Yahoo web mail account. If you use
hotmail, click in Options, and then on Pop Mail Retrieval Settings. In
addition to your POP username and password, you will need to know the
POP server address. It depends on which Internet Service Provider
you're using; if you don't know it you can just give them a call (or,
if you're currently using Outlook, go to Tools - Accounts - Properties
- Servers tab and copy it from there).
HotMail
http://www.hotmail.com
Yahoo Mail
http://mail.yahoo.com
I hope this works for you. If you need clarification, I'll be happy to
provide more details.
Regards,
