I am writing a novel and need info about curfew in Berlin right after war ended. Did those who removed rubble live in camps? What food did they have? Was there any time for socializing-even at a minimum level? What kind of help were they given? Would it have been possible for someone to go through a somewhat damaged house and find an out of tune paino to play? If so, would this have been after work hours- and before curfew? I doubt this, but it's important for the plot. |

I suppose this would vary depending on which of the four zones is the setting of your novel. Here are some further dates concerning the four zones (American, British, French, Russian): http://www.worldstatesmen.org/German_States1918.htm#Berlin |
