Is your 'keen sense of smell' comparable to that of a sniffer dog?

And could you, for example, be trained to sniff out explosives?

If so, then there could be some amazing opportunities for you.

This brings to mind a show I saw on TV once, about "the world's worst job".

I cannot recall the research lab, but there are apparently several
"professional noses" who work as researchers testing the efficacy of
deodorants. Yes, they spend their day intentionally smelling the
armpits of test subjects. 'Nuff said.

You could work in Amsterdam and rate certain products by intensity of
smell: needless to say you would have to know your product! Sticky

A magic act!

You are introduced to ten people whom you have never met before ...
Your nose goes to work and finds something significant about every
person.

Then, you are blindfolded, and AMAZINGLY you can identify everyone by
name even though they are standing 20 feet away.

(Remember, you hesrd this first from me.)

"Most of the scents that become famous are created in Grasse not by a
seller himself, however, but by an artist of aroma. Called "the nose"
in the industry, the creator sits at an "organ" of hundreds of
bottles, testing, sniffing for just the right combination that will
sell. At least 20 scents are mixed for a simple perfume--up to
hundreds for the more complex. The nose is expected to recognize
between 2,000 and 3,000 scents from memory."

A coffee or wine judge perhaps? Your reputation, most certainly,
would need to precede you to qualify in these occupations. It also
looks like it couldn't hurt to live in Seattle. ;-)
