Name that Film

I want to watch this movie, but I don't know the title. I’m pretty
sure it is a TV movie. I remember one particularly gruesome scene:

A man and a redheaded woman were both tied up in sleeping bags and
were hanging from tree branches in a forest. Then someone took down
the woman and used a knife to cut the bag open. Meanwhile the man in
the sleeping bag started swinging back and forth and kicked the man
forward onto the woman, who grabbed the knife. The man tried to take
the knife back, but ended up grabbing onto the blade of the knife
instead and slicing his hands.

That’s all I can remember, I saw it on television in 1992 or 93, if
that helps, but whatever it is, I want to get it so I can see what
happened next.

SnakeEater. 1989. Lorenzo Lamas.

I can't believe it! I turned on the TV tonite, flipped through the
channels, came to Showtime and checked out the movie since I think
Lorenzo Lamas is cute and I like action movies. The instant I started
watching, I knew it was the one you wanted and that I had
remembered...and which was driving me nuts trying to recall. I turned
it on about 5 minutes before the scene you described.

Here's the Showtime blurb: "He's a cop (Lorenzo Lamas) stalking those
who terrorized his family. Josie Bell, Ronnie Hawkins, Larry Csonka,
Ron Palillo, Richard Berethay, Robert Scott."

Further information:
Director: George Erschbamer
Running Time: 1 hr 29 mins
Rating: R
Distributor: Media Home Entertainment/Heron Communications

Amazon lists used copies available on VHS for as little as $3.39.

You can also check online to see if your local Blockbuster carries it
(only one of my two area ones does):

The name of this film has eluded me, and everyone I’ve asked, for the
last ten years. You get it in a month. How does it feel to be God?

It sounds very much to me like you're talking about Friday 13th: Part
VII, which involved Jason, the killer, despatching at least one camper
by picking him/her up in their sleeping bag and whacking them against
a tree. Not exactly how you described it, I know, but I'm afraid I
don't remember the whole scene.

No, it's not Friday 13th: Part VII, but thanks for taking a punt. Keep trying!

I can see the scene in my mind. In fact, I saw the movie on TV in the
last year. If I remember correctly, it was a B action movie and had
someone like Brian Bosworth or Dolph Lundgren in it. Gonna drive me
nuts!
