Few companies publish a list of employees openly on the Web, but if
you'd like to name the company that you're interested in, a Researcher
may be able to determine whether or not an employee list is available.

For job references, I am trying to locate people that I worked with
five years ago, at Boehringer Ingleheim Pharmaceuticals. Also,
another co-worker who was last working for a division of Johnson &
Johnson. I have tried 'googling,' but without success.

You may also want to look for the person's home contact information.
You can do that on any number of white pages databases, like
dogpile.com.

One other avenue is to call the company's contact number and ask for
HR or your old department and see if the person is still around. I'd
expect if you are looking to add them as references, the person(s)
will have to be informed at some point in the process, so calling the
company direct may help.

Call the company's main number and ask to speak to the individual.
