Purchased a Nutria fur coat at a consignment shop for $25, and I think it was quite a steal. The label in the coat reads, "Unfahrer Pelze Nordlingen." German? Would like translation of those words, and if possible, would also like to know whether this represents a retail store, the furrier/manufacturer, etc. and where I could find contact info. |

Hello juls101, You are correct -- this is German. The actual words are "Umfahrer Pelze Nördlingen". "Umfahrer" is the name of the business (and the surname of the man whom you can contact); "Pelze" means furs; and "Nördlingen" is the town in Germany where this business is located. This business calls itself a "Kürschnermeister" -- a "master furrier". You can see a listing for this furrier, as well as a link to a contact form, on this page: "Umfahrer Leder - Pelze - Hüte" [Umfahrer Leather - Furs - Hats] portale24.info schwaben http://schwaben.regioportale.de:8080/regioportale/servlet/regioportale/username/wg156/template/homepage%2CHome.vm - justaskscott Search terms used on Google: umfahrer pelze |
