I have a memory of a goalie for the New York Rangers named Marcel Paille who at some point in a nationally televised game with the Boston Bruins gave up six goals in six minutes. Is my recellection correct? Correct or not, I am looking for the box score of that game even if it was fewer than six goals or more than six minutes. It was definitely lots of goals and not too many minutes. |

herberq-ga: What I have been able to find, is that the Boston Bruins played the New York Rangers on December 19th, 1974. The final score was 11-3 for the Bruins. According to: http://couchpotatohockey.com/Records/Reg_Season_Team_Records/Fastest_Goals.asp The Boston Bruins scored 5 of those goals in 2:55. Unfortunately, I could not find an online version of the box score for you, to be able to determine if a sixth goal occurred within the equivalent of a 6 minute span. Hopefully, one of my fellow Researchers has better luck! If you happen to know anyone in New York City or Boston with access to the public library, the box score will most likely appear in the archived sports pages for Dec. 15th, 1974. Marcel Paille played for the NY Rangers from 1957-1965. So if the question is, are you sure it was Marcel Paille who gave up the goals or was it possibly another goalie with the Rangers? |
