i am a trainee journalist that currently partakes in a discussion page
in a eductaional institution's paper. a forthcoming disscusion is '
WHAT EXTENT DO ADVERTISING IMAGES CONSTRUCT AND REPRODUCE DOMINANT
IDEOLOGIES?' Therefore I wish to explore how marketing images,(not
commercials but only images) convey and reinforce a message of...... 'this
is how you should dress and this is how you should look'...... and then also
provide some examples of how they have an affect on the consumer with
statistics, and also maybe some past reports/articles of companys that
have used these tactics, and what ideologies may appeal to specific
consumer groups (i.e., age, wealth, class). i have not conducted any
elctronic research as of yet only literature based.
