Hello.

The source of the quotation is "Wisdom Distilled from the Daily:
Living the Rule of St. Benedict Today" (1990) by Joan Chittister.

Two web pages cite Chittister's book "Wisdom Distilled from the Daily"
as the source of the quotation:
"Values & Visions Video Guide"
http://www.spiritualityhealth.com/newsh/items/blank/item_3530.html
"Getting on top of things"
http://www.brethren.org/genbd/messenger/1999/juneedit.htm

If you're interested in buying the book "Wisdom Distilled from the
Daily: Living the Rule of St. Benedict Today," it's available from
Amazon.com:
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0060613998/

Bibliographic data for "Wisdom Distilled from the Daily" from the
Library of Congress:
http://catalog.loc.gov/cgi-bin/Pwebrecon.cgi?v3=1&DB=local&CMD=010a+89045557&CNT=10+records+per+page

--------

search strategy:
"leaves the world softer"

I hope this helps.
