Hello, maccas:
Please, could you specify more? Do you mean you get an under
construction page accessing your site, but you have an index.html
ready made? Could you please, post the url of your site?

Regards.

Hello, maccas:
I can see perfectly your site, so for what you say, there is a cache
problem, that means that while your site is perfectly on the internet,
you are getting a cached version of the index.html file.

Let's going to make some tests to see if we can solve it easily:
-Open the Index page
 http://www.glyptis.com/index.html

-Now, press the left shift key on your keyboard and without releasing
it, press the refresh button on the top

If this doesn't works, we will need to check your proxy connection,
maybe your ISP has a transparent proxy setup that caches those pages.

Or an easier solution would be to modify all your website pages to
place in the very top, these tags:

<meta http-equiv="Expires" content="Mon, 26 Jul 1997 05:00:00 GMT" />
<meta http-equiv="Cache-Control" content="no-store, no-cache, must-revalidate" />
<meta http-equiv="Pragma" content="no-cache" />

So let's try the first option and we will work on it until you get the
refreshed page. I won't answer this question until you get it working.

Regards.

Hello joseleon-ga,
I am afraid I am a novice and nothing is working. In fact I did not
try to modify all the website pages as you said for lack of know-how.
So can you do something on your side with Google?
Regards.

Hello aht,
Your question is very clear and to the point:
So it is when I search my website using Google's Search Engine that I get the
"under construction" page, whereas when I click on the "cache" link of Google's
"cache" version everything is fine; no "under construction" and yes I
get the page which is the correct version of the Website.
Regards.

Hello, maccas:
Sorry, I didn't understand the "same as your CACHE" part of your
question. Sorry I thought it was another problem, do you mean that
when you search for your site in Google you see the "Under
construction" page?

Regards.

Hi joseleon,
When I search my website with Google Search Engine I get the "under
consruction" page. Now when I click below where is says "cache" I get
the actual page that I want instead of the "under construction".
How can the "cache" replace the "under construction?
Regards,
Alexander

Hello, maccas:
Well, when I search on google for your page I see the actual page,
both in results and in the cache, maybe google is updating its
database, in that case, you only need to wait. Is there any
possibility you can post an screenshot of what you get in Google, or
at least, copy the contents and paste them here. If you need
instructions to take an screenshot, just ask.

Regards.

Hello joseleon,
Thank you for your efforts.
I think we better wait for Google to update.

Hello, maccas:
  Here is the full answer:

In any case, in the mean time, it would be great to get an screenshot
of the results you get on Google. And don't hesitate to request for
any clarification in needed, I'm here to help you.

maccas-ga:

To echo what joseleon-ga said, when I look at what is in Google Inc's
cache for your website, it appears to be fine as well:

Certainly no "Under Construction" page there!

As you created your web pages using the Yahoo! Wizards, adding the
META tags that joseleon-ga suggests is not that easy, you will need to
use the HTML editor found in the Yahoo! Web Hosting File Manager to do
so. Joseleon can provide you with information on that.

However, from the flow of your question, something isn't clear to me.
Where are you seeing the "Under Construction" page? Is it when you try
to access the glyptis.com webpage directly through your web browser?
Or is it when you look up your web page in the Google Search Engine,
then click on the "Cache" link to see the Google cached version?
Clarifying that will help joseleon-ga provide you the most direct
answer to your question possible.

Regards,

aht-ga
