Daisypearl,

I have nothing to add to Bobbie's excellent suggestions, but I would
like to commend you on your decision to adopt a dog from a rescue
group. My husband and I are active in a local animal rescue
organization. All three of our beautiful dogs are animals that someone
had abused or abandoned.

When you adopt an animal from a rescue group, you not only save the
life of a needy creature: you are actually saving TWO lives. By
adopting your pet, you leave an open slot for another dog to be taken
in and fostered by the rescue volunteers.
