Request for Question Clarification by

Dear Edward,
I'm sorry you feel that you have been treated disrespectfully. I
assure you that was no one's intent, and I deeply regret if you feel
that I, in particular, have been disrespectful to you. I did not mean
to be. Let me try to explain.
With regard to your question, you now say you're "not looking for
much," and that you just "wanted a few good leads." But your earlier
clarification said you wanted:
"...(1) a list of organizations(maybe 20 or so) that provide funding
for orphans in africa and accept funding proposals (2)some other links
(3) list of sites(maybe 5) that provide information on nonprofit
organization status in the US, and basic legalities and procedures for
starting a small international charitable organization..."
Yes, you raised your price to ten dollars, and I do appreciate that
you may not have the funds to hire a professional to locate sources of
funding for you, though there are people for whom that is a
profession. However, it might be well for you to have another look at
the Google pricing guidelines,
http://answers.google.com/answers/pricing.html which state that a ten
dollar question "Can be answered with 30 minutes of work." Also keep
in mind that Researchers earn 75% of the fee, so a Researcher would
earn $7.50 for a ten-dollar question.
Perhaps you don't realize that searching out sources of grant funding
is a tedious, very time-consuming process, and finding 20 sources
specific to any particular need would require many hours of searching.
There's no magic to it, and no official, large databases that will
simply return appropriate funding sources by keying in one's needs.
There are a few privately compiled lists, but for the most part,
funding sources must be ferreted out individually by combing through
various possibilities for a potential match. I did do some looking,
but in an hour I had located no specific sources for your purpose, and
that was without even addressing the other two questions of additional
links about funding, and how to start a nonprofit organization. That
is why I did not answer your question.
Also, just so you understand how things work here, Researchers are not
employees of Google. Rather, Google Answers is a service provided by
a number of independent contractors, who are at liberty to choose
whether or not to answer any given question, depending on price,
individual interest, and their own confidence in their ability to do
so. In this case, I do not feel able to adequately answer this
question. Perhaps another Researcher might, and the question remains
open for that reason. But there is no guarantee that any question will
be answered. Many do expire without answers.
All that said, if you will look at the links I gave you in my original
request for clarification, I think you will find some information that
might be useful to you. And if saving money on this quest is a major
concern to you, you can use the information for free to educate
yourself on how and where to locate funding sources. I wish you the
best, and hope that one way or another you are able to find the funds
you need.
Best regards,
